Tulsa, OK, U.S. – (September 8, 2020) – Halloween 2020 will find the DC Project hosting their largest fundraiser of the year. The DC Project Team Match will be held at the scenic Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, TX, and run from October 30 through November 1. The weekend kicks off with a firearms festival, costume party, and fundraising banquet on Friday, followed by a two-day, team 3-gun match on Saturday and Sunday.
“The DC Project Team Match and banquet benefit our Second Amendment advocacy efforts,” says DC Project founder, Dianna Muller, “and it provides an excellent opportunity to support the shooting sports and the 2A.”
“The resources help with our travel to D.C. and state capitols where we meet with lawmakers face-to-face, plus it finances our national educational efforts throughout the year,” according to Muller. “We challenge the messages of anti-gun groups like Moms Demand Action, and we counter their red-shirt visual with our own #TealFor2A campaign.”
“Register today and compete to preserve the Second Amendment, or sponsor the match by donating cash or prizes,” Muller said. “You don’t have to be a competitor to enjoy the match or support the cause. The firearms festival will include fun, live-fire opportunities and the banquet features a costume party. Friday’s activities are open to the public.” said Muller. “We’ll have raffles, silent and live auctions, and awards for costumes, not to mention great food and fun!” she added. Register here for Friday’s Festival.
Throughout the competition, teams will compete for a cash payout for the top three places of four Lewis class divisions. In the spirit of promoting women and juniors in the shooting sports, key demographics in helping to preserve the Second Amendment, there will be a second cash payout to the two-person team that includes a junior or female member. A junior competitor is aged 17 or younger on the day of the match.
“As a retired police officer, I recognize the importance of supporting our law enforcement officers. The DC Project is proud to invite law enforcement teams to the match where they can practice their skillset and have a fun, uplifting experience,” said Muller. The DC Project is seeking sponsorships for LEO teams from companies and individuals in their respective communities to show appreciation and get LEO teams into the competition. “Not only will the LEO teams compete against each other for bragging rights and a trophy belt buckle, but the sponsor of the winning team will get a buckle too,” she added. DC Project Foundation
The mission of the DC Project Foundation is to raise awareness among community members, including legislators, that firearms safety and violence prevention are achieved through EDUCATION, not legislation; to encourage the PRESERVATION of America’s gun culture from conservation and commerce to competitive sports, hunting, and self-defense; and to highlight the diversity and rising demographic of female gun owners through ongoing ADVOCACY because gun rights are women’s rights.
