The demands for gun control are hollow because restricting guns sounds easier than influencing human behavior, just like it is easier to take all the markers away when your toddler writes on the wall. However, any good parent knows this is not an effective long-term strategy. We need to utilize educational, anti-bullying, and mental health programs, in addition to gun safety programs, to make our communities safer.
Moms like us value our rights to protect our families. We won’t allow our homes to be overrun by criminals and fear. Our children will be safer BECAUSE they know that self-defense is a human right. Your kids need to know this, too.
